I have a new obsession. It's cake and cupcake stands. I can't stop thinking of them or at least coming up with ideas for them. I'm hoping to use this growing passion to open up a Jessicakes store on Etsy.com. I won't be selling cupcakes or cake online, but looking to sell cake stands--both handmade and vintage, fondant cake toppers, and anything else that just seems like a Jessicakes item. I thought I would give you a little preview today!
This cupcake stand was designed with a Valentine's Day theme in mind. This stand is made from wood and hand painted. I thought about adding some pearls on the edge or additional colors, but really just enjoyed its simplicity.
With this cupcake stand a mini cupcake would probably be ideal, but a standard size cupcake fits fine as well. Custom monograms and orders could be fun as well. I'll display more on the blog as I finish more cake stands. Let me know what you think or if you have any cake stand ideas!
