I promise I haven't forgot about this blog, April has been so incredibly busy with cupcake and cake orders, not to mention Easter, Cupcake Camp, Cupcake Kids, and a renovation project at my house. With that being said, I'm FINALLY going to give a review of Cupcake Camp Dallas!
First of all, I want to thank all of you who "liked" my photo on facebook! I know I was super annoying asking everyone over and over again, but I have good news... I won the Kindle!! And I've already finished reading my first book on it. I am now officially obsessed! Again, thank you all for your support and helping me win!
Second, Cupcake Camp was incredible! It was fun, the people running the camp were so nice and helpful, and everything was just a blast! There were over 4,000 cupcakes at the event and so many bakers, both professional and amateur. I loved networking and meeting people.
Third... there was a cupcake competition. I entered three cupcakes for each category: Easter, Texas, and Best Overall. I was happy to win the Kindle, but then while the judges moved the winning cupcakes to the "winners" table, I noticed my Easter cupcake being moved. I couldn't believe it! I won Best Easter Cupcake: Amateur Division. It was such an exciting day!
Cupcake Camp really inspired me, I felt this month I was able to bake cupcakes for a bigger purpose and it was such a blessing. I really feel the desire now to continue making cupcakes for a purpose to help others and further the Kingdom of God. Just praying for the doors to open to start a cupcake/cake shop that aids orphans, the local community, and more.
Have a terrific weekend! Be blessed!!
